India – a fascinating land of a billion plus people. A country that boasts of the longest continuous civilization known to mankind, a perfect medley of the past and the future.
Our constitution starts with the phrase, “India, that is Bharat”, and with that one phrase we have equated and brought into perspective our rich ancient heritage with our aspirations for the future. This section is dedicated to helping young Indians navigate and understand India better. My inspiration for a Q&A on India was piqued by a book series that I had read as a young impressionable teenager. This series, “Let us Know India”, had colorful hand drawn pictures and a series of questions & answers around Indian history, geography and general affairs. I am hoping I can help re-create that magic I felt decades ago through the “Discover India” section.
